Helen Woodward Animal Center's new Adoption Center has reached new highs in their Campaign for Caring organization. This facility has been intact since 1972 and has greatly grown over the years. This organization started with 300 homeless animals coming to the adoption center a year and has grown to 3,500 animals seeking homes in the last year. These pets have the opportunity to receive both proper care and home placements regularly.
This Animal Center accepts 95% of orphans from animal shelters throughout the country, after taking both physical and behavioral exams as well as vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries. The new adoption building lead for more efficient and private entrances for those animals being transported to the center. There was also an addition making a larger veterinarian office, a second exam room and a larger surgery room.
