Spothlight on: The Bridges At Rancho Santa Fe

November 13, 2017

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe is an exclusive private membership club located within The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe residential community in North County San Diego. The Bridges Club is hidden in the hills of Rancho Santa Fe and has a Tuscany inspired design giving it a rustic countryside feel. Not only does The Bridges have a world renowned golf course but they also have other amenities such as an award winning clubhouse, sport center, pool facility, and tennis courts. The Bridges is considered not only an exclusive golf club but also a social club.

On September 25th, The Bridges announced that you no longer need to live within the residential community to become a member with the private club. This is truly exciting news for golf fanatics and people who want to be part of The Bridges community. The Bridges offers 3 different types of membership. The first membership is the Full Golf Membership and this membership includes unlimited access to the club’s amenities and privileges plus provides equity interest in the clubhouse. The next membership is the National Golf Membership. This membership offers a limited non-equity membership for non-Southern California residents. This membership still offers unlimited access the club amenities and privileges. The last membership is the Social Membership which includes the use of all social activities excluding golf privileges.

The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe golf course is an 18-hole, par-71 course with dramatic terrain and the signature bridges that is over 7,000 yards in length. The use of the hills, canyons and strategically placed water hazards make this course challenging and breathtaking. The Bridges course is unlike any course in San Diego County. This course is most known for The Battle of the Bridges tournament with golf legends such as Tiger Woods and John Daly. The course was designed by Robert Trent II Group. The Robert Trent II Group is known for their prestigious golf course designs such courses include Princeville Golf Resort in Hawaii and Southern Highlands in Las Vegas. The Bridges golf course is unique and players of all levels are able to have a memorable experience as well as be challenged with each hole. The Robert Trent II Group designed the golf course to have no two holes alike. Hole #10 is listed as the signature hole but it is argued Hole #18 generates the most excitement. Hole #18 overlooks the gorgeous Tuscany inspired clubhouse and is a challenging course if you aren’t focused. Overall, this golf course is home to many professional golf players such as local San Diegan Phil Mickelson.

In October, The Bridges held a breast cancer event called Play for P.I.N.K. and was to help raise money for breast cancer research. This event featured silent auctions, wine tasting, and of course a golf tournament. This tournament originally started out with female competitors only but now it is a member-wide tournament including all! This event has been growing through the years and it is so wonderful to see the community come together for such a worthy cause.

Overall, The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe is one of the nicest private club’s in San Diego County hands down. Not only is the architecture of the clubhouse and amenities gorgeous but so is the unique and world famous golf course. If you ever have a chance to golf or even have lunch here, I highly recommend it.
